Missing teeth can give your self-confidence a knock and stop you from pursuing personal and professional goals. This is why Dr. Nish and Dr. Mahek are so passionate about restorative dentistry and are proud to offer innovative All-on-4 dental implants in Clovis, CA. We aim to provide you with a permanent, natural-looking smile that empowers you to live your life to the fullest and show off your beautiful smile without hesitation!

What Are All-on-4 Dental Implants?

All-on-4 dental implants allow us to restore a full arch of teeth by placing 4 dental implants in areas of the jaw with enough bone density to support a full arch of teeth. The implants, made from biocompatible titanium, fuse with your jawbone to create a sturdy foundation for attaching a fixed denture. This approach maximizes the use of available bone and often helps you avoid bone grafting.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

All-on-4 dental implants may be a great option for you if you meet the below criteria:

  • You are missing most or all of your teeth or have extensive decay that requires removal of the majority of your teeth
  • You have experienced bone loss in your jaw and do not qualify for traditional implants
  • You’re looking for a durable, long-term alternative to dentures or partials
  • You want to avoid the lengthy process associated with traditional implants and walk out with prosthetic teeth the same day as your surgery

What Are the Benefits?

Single implants and dentures are the first things most patients consider for full arch tooth replacements if they’ve never heard of all on 4 implants. Single implants on a whole arch are often too expensive for most patients, while dentures are often not suitable because of slippage and discomfort.

All-on-4 offers several benefits over these traditional tooth replacement solutions:

  • It's possible to have a functional and natural-looking set of teeth in as little as one day (which is why the procedure is often called “teeth in a day”).
  • Implants stimulate the jawbone to prevent further bone loss and maintain facial structure. Your cheeks can begin to look sallow, or your skin may sag near the jawline when you lose teeth.
  • Your dentures are securely anchored to the implants which means no worries about slippage or struggling to eat your favorite foods.
  • The prosthetic teeth attached to the implants look and function like natural teeth which will make it easier for you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

What Is the Process?

We approach every case individually so no two patients will walk the same journey with us. However, here is a general idea of what you can expect:

  • Consultation and Planning: Dr. Nish or Dr. Mahek will meet with you for an initial consultation where they will thoroughly examine your mouth. We will take X-rays and use 3D imaging to see whether All-On-4 is the best path for you and to plan your treatment. This allows us to see how much jawbone we have to work with and where the best areas for implant placement would be.
  • Prep: We will take care of all the preparatory work in a separate appointment to your implant surgery. This may include extractions, gum disease treatment, and in rare cases, bone grafting.
  • Surgery: The procedure is typically performed under sedation or general anesthesia. The four implants are placed in the jaw and temporary teeth are attached to give you immediate functionality and a beautiful smile.
  • Healing: The implants will integrate with your jawbone in a process known as osseointegration over the course of a few months.
  • Final Restoration: Once you’re healed up, we will place your permanent, custom-made teeth to complete your smile transformation.
